BioI just saw this on a blog (Greek Tradegy) and thought it would be cool to do here.
100 things (or so) to know about me:
1) I'm expecting my first child and my due date is my bday.
2) I was lucky enough to marry my true love, great love.
3) I still sleep with the blanket I was brought home in, over 30 years ago. I think about using it for a quilt for my own child, but it makes me sad to get rid of it.
4) I am loyal friend to a fault.
5) I think I am social inept at times.
6) I live in my head.
7) I've always wanted to be famous and still secretly hope I will be famous.
8) I cry at the strangest things.
9) I love words. I loved in the movie Say Anything when she talks about marking words in a dictionary. I use to do that.
10) I was obessed with Molly Ringwald when I was pre-teen. I even wanted people to call me Molly.
11). When I get nervous, I lie. They are stupid lies, but still lies. Over the past 3 years I've really stop making things up to sound 'cool'.
12)I love my life, yet, sometimes that scares me.
13) I worry about the day our dog dies and make plans on getting a new dog right away to fill that void.
14) Each night, I wish upon a star. I swear it works.
15) I completely believe in good luck. I don't understand how people don't believe in luck.
16) My feelings can get hurt easily. Yet, I'm working on this too.
17) I need to know I am special to someone.
18) Sometimes, I'll watch/read something just so I can talk about it with others. Like, sporting events or the end of a popular tv show.
19) I need people to view me as smart.
20) I think, at times, I can be a needy friend. This makes me sad.
21) I wish I had a best friend locally.
22) One of my bridesmaids does not talk to me. I think I know why, but I'll never know for sure. If it's the reason I think it is, that gets me angry.
23) I often wish I was an expert at something.
24) I took cello lessons for a year. I would like to take them again.
25) I want to learn how to sew and knit, mainly just so I can say I can do it.
26) I believe everyone should have at least one Ben in their life.
27) I love women who are snarky, yet kind. Basically, like Jen Lancaster.
28) I like to gossip. Yet, I tell myself the type of gossip is not hurtful. Really, isn't all gossip hurtful to someone?
29) I love Howard Stern. I get annoyed when people think he just about tits and ass.
30) I have such an active, crazy dreams. I should write them down; they would make beautiful stories.
31) I worry that I might give my child a name, just to make my MIL like me more.
32) I don't understand how my size 14 jeans can fit me all this time.
33) I have a few books that have changed my life: Fear of Flying,She Has Come Undone, and Million Little Pieces.
34) I find such peace when I go to temple, yet, I don't go reguarly.
35) I like va-va things and I'm really not ashamed of it.
36) I am well-read. I like when I can tell people about books and they ask me, where did you hear about that one?
37) I often wonder what happen to the girl that teased my in grade school. She was so evil.
38) I hate when people say something cruel and then say 'just kidding'. Just because it's a joke, doesn't make it less hurtful.
39) People generally annoy me.
40) In college, a roommate and I wanted to have a TV show called "Bad Idea Jeans". It was named after a SNL skit.
41) In high school, my best friend and I would watch SNL every Saturday night.
42) I was obessed with the show Thirtysomething. The summer before my senior year of high school, I watched a marathon of thirtysomething. There was something carthatic about it--afterwards I was able to change my life.
43) I hate the fact that my college years, weren't traditional. I feel like something is wrong with me, because I never really connected with anyone in college.
44) I often think I'm a failure, when clearly I am not.
45) I'm really lazy.
46) Often times, people who I think I'm going to hate, I really like.
47) I think I'm done with trying to get people to like me.
48) I talk over people--I really don't mean to. It just the way I'm use to talking.
49) I don't think Califorina will ever feel like home.
50) In high school, I kept a quote book. There are some funny quotes in that book.
51) I went to SpaceCamp in 1988. I cried most of the week, because I missed my parents so much.
52) In school, I always wanted my paper to be the one used as the answer key.
53) I pick my nose and sometimes will eat what I find.
54) I didn't realize how upper middle class I am, until recently.
55) I liked the book The Tipping Point. I think I'm that first person-the one that tells everyone about the new trend.I forget what's it called. . .
56) I buy makeup and girlie stuff, then never use it. I just like the idea of it all.
57) I wonder sometimes, if my life would of been different if I went to LA.
58) I like the honesty creating this list is bringing to my life.
59) I always seem to have a song from Rent pop into my head. I think it's because I have listened to the soundtrack 800 million times.
60) I love sleep.
61) I lost my senior year, yearbook.It annoys me, because I remember looking at it not to long ago. It vanished.
62) When I was little, I use to do this thing where I would say, Who am I? over and over again like in the Chris Reeve movie, A Time to Remember. I wanted to see if I too, could go back in time.
63) I have a very strange memory. Like, I can remember a Halloween from 1st grade, yet, I have to think about what I ate for lunch 2 days ago.
64) I remember watching the challenger explode on tv. I can see the room and see my teacher. I also remember going home that day and my Mom told me not to look.
65) My favorite President is Jimmy Carter. I just love him and have a picture of him on our fridge.
66) I remember the day President Regan was shot. I can see the outfit my mom was wearing.
67) I'll never forget how time stood still on 9/11 and how my first thought was something else was wrong with my Mom.
68) When I was little, I use to hate to wear stockings. They itched.
69) My Dad use to do my hair each morning. Then, one day I told him I could do it myself.
70) I use to make someone sit with me when I went to the bathroom. My grandmother and I would chat about life as I poo'd and pee'd.
71) The first boy I kissed, nickname was "Skippy". Days after we shared the kiss, I found out that this was not a good nickname. I was horrified and I think,I never returned his calls.
72) My bestfriend is making me a quilt for a wedding present--this September we will celebrate our 6th anniversary. Each year, I anixously hope it's the year, I'll get the quilt.
73) I can eat the same food over and over again. Yet, I hate leftovers.
74) I have never yaked as result of being drunk.
75) I was very boy crazy in my early years.
76) My first love, completly broke my heart in two. Yet, I'm so grateful that he did, otherwise I would of never known how to properly love my husband.
77) My husband has the best laugh in the world and I get flutters in my stomach anytime I make him laugh.
78) Some days I will just wake up really happy or sad. I've learned to just go with it.
79) I have many pet peeves--like bad hair, people who say 'you know' and people who talk in the third person--are just a few.
